environmental organisations, councillors, and municipal employees, as well as private individuals. This has led to a vastly improved networking in the area. Having opened our activities to non-members in offering outings and talks, our scope in the area has expanded. There are many individuals and
small NPOs which welcome our groups to share knowledge and expertise. Our outings have been various and well supported. The greatest interest shown was for a series of geology tours led by WESSA members who are geologists, with a total of 800 participants!
