For a pain-relieving wash Don’t throw away the water you are using for steaming, use it while hot as a wash. Dip a clean cloth into the bowl catching the Barley Sugar Plant and Bluegum leaves into the cloth, gently

fold over and squeeze out excess water; now gently use the cloth filled with leaves to massage around the chest, neck and shoulders. This will ease the muscles and help open the chest, treating aches and pains, rheumatism in the neck and shoulders, and will gently revive sore muscles. This is a perfect, cheap and natural alternative for sportsmen, campers and hikers on the trail. For aches, bruises and painful areas Make a compress from crushed leaves and twigs in boiling water, allow to steep for a few minutes before covering with a cloth to make a compress, fold over to close the cloth, compress, pour out the excess water, and place the compress over the area in pain. Place a hot water bottle over the painful area for a short while to allow the warmth to let it do its work.
