FAUNA, FLORA & WILDLIFE

Almost dry in 2016 NYAMITHI PAN Ndumu Game Reserve, in northern KwaZulu-Natal, is world famous as a birding destination. One reason for this is that it lies at the confluence of two mighty perennial Lowveld rivers, the Pongolo and the Usutu, with their associated fertile flood plains, seasonal and perennial pans surrounded by reeds and sedges, and massive fig and riverine forests.
