African Wildlife and Environment Issue 68

Sesamothamnus guerichii

In this series of articles for African Wildlife and Environment , I have tried to adopt different formats in each article, which have included changes in the approach and style, in the hope that I would get some feedback from readers indicating their preferences. Please indicate your preference in a letter to the Editor! As a tree fanatic and educator, I’m clearly very interested in how people relate to the articles that I write (including feedback on what they think about the article, and if they enjoyed reading them, etc.). This is because my wish is to create a greater interest in our 2 000 tree species and/or to also add interesting titbits that are not generally available in the literature. To this end, I put a lot of thought and effort into each article, and without some feed-back I am left fumbling-in-the-dark, so to speak!

Why are many TROPICAL SUCCULENTS so tall?
