DRAFT WESSA Strategic Review Narrative Report June 2022

Educate Our Education and Training will become more intentional to foreground human rights and civic power, community priorities and participation, and agency and advocacy. This is how we aim to implement our education and training programmes.

FOCUS AREAS OF DELIVERY – OUR THEORY OF CHANGE The golden thread of WESSA’s work is based on education and advocacy with the aim to inspire, drive and support action. Further to this, the emphasis of our work is based on people, environmental justice, and the opportunity to positively change lives by promoting and supporting action for a healthier planet.

Rethink

In Schools

Three step approach:

• SLT: Training to create an enabling environment. Climate leadership training. • Educators: Content knowledge, Training and skills. Change Education Training. • Students: Change Projects (Climate Action; Biodiversity and Habitat Integrity and Reducing Pollution) and activism campaigns.
