IN THE FUTURE We hope to encourage our learners to engage actively with their environment. We plan to afford them opportunities to protect it through small actions, such as recycling and planting Spekboom. We aim to ultimately become a green school with learners who are proactive citizens. When it comes to the environment, we do not always see the results from our efforts during our lifetime. However, by taking this small step and becoming an Eco-School, JHSG hopes to inspire future alumni to think more carefully about the delicate balance in our natural world and how each of us can sustain and maintain it.

Despite the many environmental challenges, nothing is too difficult for the brave! We will continue to be EcoWarriors – fostering positive environmental change within our school, community and beautiful country. JHSG will soon be submitting our first Eco-Schools Portfolio, hopefully the first of many. We intend to make a positive ecological impact with our current- and future projects, as we all ‘pay it forward’ together.
